Hi,
I am currently writing this blog, because I am taking Propecia for hair loss. It is not recommended for long term use due to its known side effects and side effects of the drug, so I wanted to let all of you know that I am on this drug for hair loss. As an added benefit, I am also using Propecia and finasteride, so that’s my story.
I also have had a recurrence of some hair loss on my left temple area, and this is the only site where this happens. I am hoping that it will help. I am also taking Finasteride (1 mg) so that I don’t get any problems with my hair loss. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Thanks so much for all of your help!

September 28, 2010, 4:15pm2Hi all
I have been on Propecia for about 6 months now and had a recurrence on my right temple area. I was prescribed Propecia but I have been taking it for about a year so my hair is not as strong as before. I am trying to lose as much as I can on this drug but I don’t know if I will get my hair back on again. Is this possible?
3I have been taking finasteride for a year now. It has been on and off for about two months. I started to notice that I had some more regrowth on my left temple area than on my right. My hair loss has been getting worse so far. It has now gone back to about 5mm and has almost completely gone back to normal after about 4 years of treatment. My hair is still thinning, but I am getting a recurrence. I have tried various things including going to the doctor and the hair loss doctor. I would like to see the doctor and see if there is anything that can help. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
September 28, 2010, 5:45pm4I have been on Propecia for about 1 year. I have started to see a change in my hair loss and it has been somewhat slow so far. I am going to start seeing a dermatologist who will be able to guide me in the right direction. I am still experiencing hair loss and I have been trying to figure out what to do about it. Can anyone tell me if this is something I should be doing first or should I try and stop myself from losing hair?
I’m not taking Propecia, I had the same issue with Propecia. I have been on it for about 4 years and the problem has gotten worse. I am having trouble getting my hair back on. I’m trying to lose as much as I can from the side effects and my hair is not as strong as before. I’ve noticed my hair loss has come back in a little bit of a slight recession. I’m hoping that will help. It has been about 6 months since the recurrence. I don’t think it is going to stop but the side effects of this drug can be more than I’m going to be taking. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance
September 28, 2010, 6:10pm11I’m on Propecia for hair loss. The side effects of Propecia are more than I thought. The side effects of finasteride, even though the drug has been on and off for about 1 year, are very minor and do not affect my hair. Finasteride works by blocking the production of DHT (the hormone that causes hair loss) and finasteride does not cause DHT in the body (it works as a male hormone). So far, I’ve only seen finasteride work in some patients who have been taking it for years. When I first started taking finasteride, I had a recurrence of enlarged prostate glands. The side effects of the drug have been less than I thought and I have now been taking it for about 6 months.
Propecia contains a medicine called finasteride. This belongs to a group of medicinescalled Type II ‘5-alpha reductase inhibitors’.
Propecia is used for the treatment of male pattern hair loss (also known as androgeneticalopecia). Propecia increases hair growth on the scalp and prevents further hair loss inmen. Men with mild to moderate, but not complete hair loss, can benefit from usingPropecia.
How does the hair on your head grow?On average your hair grows about 1 centimetre (half an inch) each month. Hair growsfrom hair follicles, which are located under your skin.
A single scalp hair grows continuously for 2-4 years (growth phase) and then stopsgrowing for 2-4 months (rest phase). After this the hair falls out. In its place a newhealthy hair begins to grow, and the cycle is repeated. The hairs on your scalp arealways in different stages of this cycle so it is normal to lose scalp hair every day.
What is male pattern hair loss?
Male pattern hair loss is a common condition in which men experience thinning of thehair on the scalp, often resulting in a receding hairline and/or balding on the top of thehead. This condition is thought to be caused by a combination of genetic factors and aparticular hormone, DHT (dihydrotestosterone).
DHT causes a decrease in the growth phase and thinning of the hair (see picture). Thisleads to male pattern hair loss. These changes can start to occur in some men in their20s and become more common with age. Once hair loss has occurred over a longperiod of time, the hair may be permanently lost.

Finasteride is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor.
This medicine works by reducing the amount of DHT produced. It also reduces the severity of the side effects associated withTreatment of male pattern hair loss.
How do I take Propecia?
Take the tablet by small, open-the-mouth (okingly) tablets once a day. Do not exceed the recommended dose and continue taking for 4 months or more.
The dosage will depend on the severity of your hair loss.
How long it takes for Propecia to workDo not stop taking Propecia?
If your hair loss has not yet completely healed after 2 months, or if it does become noticeable, speak to your doctor. Stopping Propecia can lead to serious side effects including decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, and ejaculation disorder.
Consult your doctor if you can stop taking Propecia
You can stop taking Propecia at any time during your treatment with this medicine. This would normally be in the following situations:Do not take Propecia if you are allergic to finasteride or any other ingredients in this medicine.
Finasteride can affect the way other medicines work and can increase the risk of certain side effects including decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, and ejaculation disorder.Finasteride is excreted in your blood. Do not drink grapefruit juice in pregnancy or if you are pregnant or may be about to become pregnant. It may delay the maturation of a male egg and may therefore affect the way a pregnancy treats the production of a child. Therefore it is important that if you are pregnant, before your pregnancy could be treated with this medicine.
Propecia contains lactose. Do not take broken or gluten-containing products containing lactose. These may slow down the absorption of this medicine and may increase the risk of side effects.
Conserning is theest in hairMerck & Co. Inc. today filed a petition in the Supreme Court of the United States claiming that a product named Propecia, which is marketed under the brand name Proscar, was being marketed for the purpose of inducing people to take higher-dose finasteride, a common medication for prostate enlargement.
The FDA has rejected Propecia’s claim, and it is not clear whether Proscar is the product that Merck & Co. is claiming to be marketing.
The FDA’s decision will not affect Merck’s patent for Proscar. The drug, Propecia, is not a generic drug and therefore would not be subject to the U. S. Food and Drug Administration’s approval. Merck and its drug product would be marketed as a cheaper, less-expensive alternative to Proscar.
The company also argued that Propecia was a “non-patent product” and therefore subject to the U. Food and Drug Administration’s requirements under the Hatch-Waxman Act. That means that Merck’s product is not a non-patent drug.
Merck said that it has made no headway in trying to get its product approved for sale in the United States. It has also said that it is unable to prove that Propecia is effective in treating patients with enlarged prostate.
Merck has argued that it has been forced into the “Gibbs-Cancer” scenario by the company’s marketing of Propecia in Europe, where it has been shown to cause a decrease in the growth of cancerous cells in the prostate and bladder. Merck has also said that the drug is not likely to be a cure for cancer.
The FDA rejected Merck’s claim that Propecia is “an extremely safe and effective drug” and that it is unlikely to be a useful treatment for prostate cancer in the future.
The company has also argued that the drug is not likely to be effective for a long time and that there is no evidence of efficacy that would justify it. The FDA has not yet decided whether Propecia is effective.
The company has also said that it has a “prudicious” and “undesirable” relationship with Pfizer Inc. and its products, in that it is not an independent company that has any relationship with the company. The FDA does not recommend that Merck be forced to pay the costs of its marketing.
The FDA has also said that the company has “certainly engaged in conduct that puts patients at risk” and has “clearly committed to producing an anti-depressant drug product which is neither safe nor effective.”
FDA Executive Director Anne Hathaway (left) and Merck’s president, Hank McKinnell (right) have a video on their website showing a drug being sold by Merck as Propecia, which is being sold under the brand name Proscar. (Merck and the company are not producing Propecia.)The FDA’s decision will not affect Merck’s patent for Propecia. The drug is not currently available for sale in the United States.
In its petition to the Supreme Court, Merck argued that it did not have a patent for Propecia because its drug was not a generic drug and therefore was not subject to the FDA’s requirements for approval.
Hathaway said in her petition that there was no “clear evidence” that Propecia would be effective in treating prostate cancer in the future. She also said that there was “clear evidence” that Propecia was not a cure for prostate cancer.
The FDA’s decision does not apply to Proscar, which is sold under the brand name Propecia. Merck has filed a statement to the FDA arguing that its Proscar was not a “non-patent product”.
Merck’s claim in its petition to the Supreme Court is that Propecia is not a “non-patent” or “generic drug.”
The FDA is not yet required to approve Propecia. Merck has made no claims about its sales of Propecia. Merck will only have to pay the costs of testing the product in order to show the drug is effective.
Hathaway added that the FDA is “not a body that would go to bat for pharmaceutical companies.
I was on Propecia for a year and was amazed by how effective it really was. Propecia is a brand name for finasteride, and is a generic version of Proscar. Propecia is the brand name for finasteride, and is used to treat male pattern hair loss. I was very surprised to learn that finasteride was FDA-approved before Propecia. I was shocked to learn that Propecia has been available over the counter for over a year now. I also learned that Propecia is a generic medication. Propecia is available as a prescription medication, and Propecia is a generic medication. In order to buy Propecia, you will need a prescription from your doctor. The only difference is that Propecia is a prescription medication. The generic version is more expensive than Propecia, so it's more accessible. You can get Propecia without a prescription, but you can still buy it from a drugstore or online. It's a great option if you don't have insurance or if you're looking to buy a generic version of finasteride. I don't think I've ever heard of a generic Propecia. It's just cheaper, and it works like the brand name version, but is also FDA approved. I found a website that sells generic Propecia, which is a great deal, but the cost varies from store to store. In the past I would use Propecia, but the cost of the generic is a lot cheaper, so I would just do it myself. I've only ever bought Propecia online, but that's about it. I was surprised to learn that it works as well as the brand name version, and is FDA approved. It works so well, that I'm surprised to learn that it's safe. I found out that it's FDA approved, but I'm not sure about how safe it is, and I'm not sure if it's FDA approved. I know that generic finasteride is a better option than Propecia, but it's cheaper, and I'm not sure whether it's FDA approved. I don't know if it's safe or not, but I'm not sure. I'm not sure about buying generic finasteride, but I'm not sure if it's FDA approved.
